All right, let's get this party started! If you're like us, despite being screwed over by pretty much every gay soap storyline in the past, you're still unable to resist a shiny new couple. Hope springs eternal that this gay soap couple will not end tragically. Come on, universe! You owe us one!

The awesome amelialourdes has set up a high quality YouTube channel for Will and Sonny! The HD takes time to process, so we'll likely use Anthony Langford's clips at first, and then edit watch posts with the widescreen clips when they're uploaded.

I'm really excited that both Will and Sonny are legacy characters with strong family ties to Salem. This bodes well, I think! Trying to keep expectations low, but this was an excellent start, IMO. I haven't watched Days since the late '80s/early '90s, and I have to say Justin and Adrienne are looking fantastic! Nice to see them again. I've always enjoyed them both on other soaps over the years.

So what do you think of Will and Sonny? Are you drinking the Kool-Aid like we are? So tasty!

Me, too! It's possible I'm delusional for thinking this, but the fact that neither one of these characters is just a throw away character is, IMO, a really good sign that the writers aren't going to wimp out on this storyline.

Yeah, I mean, I know I'm an eternal optimist, and even though my head has been telling me not to get involved with Will and Sonny and wait until it's closed canon, my heart keeps saying, But they're both legacy characters! Maybe Days will finally do it right!

I have no idea why I'm excited about this storyline since I've never watched DOOL, but somehow I am.

So far I don't have much to say about them, I'm still very confused who is who on that show, but they're cute :P

I haven't watched this show in 20 years, so I don't know everyone, but I recognize a surprising number of Salem denizens! I'm a such a sucker for a good teen storyline, and hopefully this will turn out to be good, heh.

Eeee, I'm so glad this is finally kicking off. :D I've been keeping an eye on the show ever since AnthonyD mentioned it'll become a gay storyline. The fact there's finally enough reason to make a community is exciting!

I have a feeling it'll take awhile to learn about everyone, though.

Yeah, I'm sure there will be a learning curve. But I'm excited! I obviously still love Luke and Reid, but I enjoy having a summer project. Not that I want this to be an obession by any means. Just some fun boys to play with. :)

Despite my better judgment, I am also drinking the swill the Kool-Aid. I'm sure this will be a disaster. It is Days, but I live in hope of some great moments to cherish.

I use to be a big fan of Days. Marlena and John are one of my all time favourite supercouples. Like all soaps, Days was well conceived and written way back when.

I watched the scenes last night. The boys are cute!!! And, like you, I think it's great that they are from legacy families. That's got to mean something, dammit!

Glad to be joining the ride. No matter what - this is a good crowd. And the writing will be most excellent!

Oh geeze, y'all...I started to watch DOOOOOL in 1997. Watched it for a few years. LOVED Mike and Carrie. But then it got all weird, in a very stupid way. Like when that serial killer seemed to have massacred a bunch of people (including Granny Horton, with her OWN donuts) but actually sent them to "Salem 2"? And does anyone remember that atrocious Adam & Eve storyline?! *shudders* And then! EJ. I HATE him. I wanted Sami with Lucas so bad, and then EJ assaulted her and knocked her up. I couldn't take it anymore.

I watched it today, and I have no idea what's going on, and I'm not sure I want to. Brady tried to kill EJ? Nicole is married to EJ? (I remember when she seduced Victor way back when, ew.) At least Hope and Bo are back together, but damn, I HATE EJ and how he is the star of the damn show. Where's Stefano? Back to life for the thirtieth time?

Those two boys sure are adorable, though. Dammit. Anyone else remember when Will was an angry looking toddler who Sami carried around all over the place? He was a baby for a long, long time. He's SUPPOSED to be older than EJ. Has EJ's crazy mom, Susan, been back?!

Damn you, DAYS! I wanted to be rid of you.

I know what you mean about EJ. I mean, I think the actor is gorgeous and very talented, but EJ is such a completely evil scum bucket. I hadn't watched in years and only started watching again a few months ago, but even since then all the the stuff he's done to Sami is just so horrible! He kidnapped her husband, and replaced him with a double and just majorly fucked with her life. Now he thinks the real Rafe is dead, only he doesn't know that the real Rafe is currently impersonating the fake Rafe in an attempt to get proof of EJ's involvement in everything.

As for why Nicole is currently married to EJ, this all happened before I started watching, but the gist of it is that she had at one point kidnapped Sami & EJ's daughter, Sydney, and she really loved the kid, and EJ basically told her the only way she could ever see Sydney again is if she married him, so she ended up breaking things off with Brady (who I'm pretty sure she's still in love with) and marrying EJ so that she could play Mommy to Sydney. And EJ had since repaid her by having an affair with her sister.

They really do play fast and loose with the ages of these characters. I mean, I know soap operas tend to age their children pretty quickly, but it would be nice if they at least did it in a consistent manner, so they don't have things like a EJ being born after Will, but being the same age as Will's mother.

I'm just watching the clip again, and I had to laugh at Will and Gabi's friend Kinsey saying that Sami had Will when she was eleven. Because, really? Sami was born in 1984 and she had Will in 1995, so, um... yeah, she was eleven!!!! Oh, soap opera!!! LOL!

I don't care for any of the shipper nicknames that I have heard so far. The only one that I think has a different ring to it might be SoHo. However I'll take whatever one everyone uses as long as they do right by this story.

So, I'm sipping the Kool-Aid right now. It has been so long since I've watched DOOL. Last time I watched Brady was with Chloe, and she was supposed to be dying or something. IDK. It's been so long that I was still recording it on my VCR! LOL

I really hope the writers do good things with this story line.
