All right, let's get this party started! If you're like us, despite being screwed over by pretty much every gay soap storyline in the past, you're still unable to resist a shiny new couple. Hope springs eternal that this gay soap couple will not end tragically. Come on, universe! You owe us one!

The awesome amelialourdes has set up a high quality YouTube channel for Will and Sonny! The HD takes time to process, so we'll likely use Anthony Langford's clips at first, and then edit watch posts with the widescreen clips when they're uploaded.

I'm really excited that both Will and Sonny are legacy characters with strong family ties to Salem. This bodes well, I think! Trying to keep expectations low, but this was an excellent start, IMO. I haven't watched Days since the late '80s/early '90s, and I have to say Justin and Adrienne are looking fantastic! Nice to see them again. I've always enjoyed them both on other soaps over the years.

So what do you think of Will and Sonny? Are you drinking the Kool-Aid like we are? So tasty!

Me, too! It's possible I'm delusional for thinking this, but the fact that neither one of these characters is just a throw away character is, IMO, a really good sign that the writers aren't going to wimp out on this storyline.

Gosh, I haven't watched DOOL is so long that I've forgotten how all these families are connected to each other. I'm like, "How is Abigail related to Sonny? And to Will? And WhyTF did they nickname him Sonny since I lobster hate Sonny from GH?!".

Yeah, I mean, I know I'm an eternal optimist, and even though my head has been telling me not to get involved with Will and Sonny and wait until it's closed canon, my heart keeps saying, But they're both legacy characters! Maybe Days will finally do it right!

How IS Abigail related to Sonny? She's Jack and Jennifer's daughter, right? Is Adrienne related to one of them? It's been so long my family tree knowledge is fuzzy.

Adrienne is Jack's sister. When I started watching, I actually had a harder time remembering how Abigail could be Will's cousin... I had forgotten that Lucas (Will's father) turned out to be Bill Horton's son.

I have no idea why I'm excited about this storyline since I've never watched DOOL, but somehow I am.

So far I don't have much to say about them, I'm still very confused who is who on that show, but they're cute :P

DOOL's family trees are more confusing than ATWTs was and that's saying alot. I love the name Jackson, too. If GH can have like 5,000 "Michael's" then I see no confusion in DOOL having a Jack and a Jackson.

The mob crap is probably why GH is in the toilet ratings wise. Guza's firing was long over-due. I just wonder if they can salvage the show after all the damage has been done.

They don't notice that their ratings are higher when they have real storylines going and not regular mob crap? Oy. Not like they notice anyway. That new ABC person is trying to remove all soaps from existence.

Eeee, I'm so glad this is finally kicking off. :D I've been keeping an eye on the show ever since AnthonyD mentioned it'll become a gay storyline. The fact there's finally enough reason to make a community is exciting!

I have a feeling it'll take awhile to learn about everyone, though.

I haven't watched this show in 20 years, so I don't know everyone, but I recognize a surprising number of Salem denizens! I'm a such a sucker for a good teen storyline, and hopefully this will turn out to be good, heh.

Yeah, I'm sure there will be a learning curve. But I'm excited! I obviously still love Luke and Reid, but I enjoy having a summer project. Not that I want this to be an obession by any means. Just some fun boys to play with. :)

It had only been about 7 or 8 years since the last time I'd watched it, but yeah, I was really kind of pleasantly surprised by how I knew who almost all the characters were and how they're related to each other. There were some things I needed to look up, but it was surprisingly little. (One of my favorite facts that I discovered when reading up on the storylines: Sami's twins, Allie and Johnny, have two different fathers. Only on a soap opera!)

Oh, for sure. My standards right now are so low for this show. As long as they don't kill the gay characters, or put them into an abuse storyline, I'll be happy.

Why does he need a nickname? Jackson is a great name! Or they could have made up a middle name for him and he could have used that. I know people who go by their middle names, actually.

I honestly don't really want a new obsession. I'm hoping it will be like Kish, who I really enjoyed, but I wasn't crazy obsessed with like I was/am with Luke/Reid. I just want a fun couple to squee about, etc.

We really do have a low bar at this point. No death and/or emotional abuse, please! We really don't ask for much.
