I just want to remind everyone that a few months back we created a back-up comm on Dreamwidth: [community profile] will_sonny. We don't use the Dreamwidth journal very often, but we wanted to have someplace to do live watches if/when LJ isn't working. So, if there's a day one or both of the boys are supposed to be on and you don't see a live watch post here, please check [community profile] will_sonny.

Around 2 p.m. today, we were all:

We totally missed posting the live watch today! Sorry, guys. We were all caught up in work (the nerve of real life interfering with fandom!) and plum forgot. We'll do our very best to make sure it doesn't happen again. In case it does and there's no live watch post by 1 p.m. on a day featuring Will and/or Sonny, please go ahead and start a post.

We're also going to combine the live watches and official episode posts for the time being. As you might have noticed, we've gotten off track in posting the official ep posts, and since traffic is still light at this point, we'll just edit live watch posts with the clips as they're available.

When the storyline heats up (not that this sports website storyline isn't a thrill a minute!), and if the live watch posts get bigger with 1,000+ comments, we'll go back to posting a separate episode discussion post with the clip for that day.

We hope this works well for everyone!

Hey, everybody, we just want to remind you of our spoiler policy. Spoilers should only be discussed in posts tagged as spoilers, not in the live watch post or the official episode post. Spoilers are any information (other than casting) about an episode that has not yet aired in Eastern Time in the United States and Canada.

We understand that some people get to see the episode the day before it airs in Eastern Time, and other people read the Days Ahead recap, so they already know in great detail what's going to happen nearly a full day before the episode officially airs. If you want to share those details with the rest of the class, we'd love to read about it. But not in either the live watch post or the official episode post. If you want to share the information that Will, or Sonny, or Chad, or Victor, or any other character will be on tomorrow, that's fine. But if you want to reveal details about their storyline, or share some of their dialog, please make a new post, and tag it for spoilers.

For example, if someone asks a specific question about what's going to happen to Will or Sonny in tomorrow's episode, and you know the answer, please provide the answer in a separate post, tagged for spoilers, and respond to the comment with a link to your post. If the person has a question about any other character, you can respond to them via PM, but please ask them first whether they really want to know the answer. If I leave a comment saying "Is Maggie really going to die?!?!?", I might just be expressing my dismay at the possibility, but I don't necessarily really want you to tell me the answer.

In short, we love spoilers, and we love people who share spoilers with us, but we also want to respect the wishes of people who don't want to be spoiled. We appreciate everyone's cooperation in keeping the spoilers out of any post that isn't tagged for them!

It's been brought to our attention that the portion of our rules that relates to spoilers was not as clear as it could have been. My fellow mods and I want to apologize if anyone got spoiled because they looked at the discussion accompanying a preview/sneak peak clip, assuming that any spoilers discussed would be limited to only that clip. We have updated the community rules to make it clear that any post tagged as "spoilers" is fair game for discussion of any and all spoilers.

The section on spoilers now reads as follows:

Spoilers:

All spoilers must be properly labelled and behind a cut.
If posting a discussion topic that is spoilery, it must be tagged as "spoilers" and the subject line should either include the word "Spoilers" or describe the nature of the spoilers (i.e. "Sneak Peak", "Preview clip", etc.).

Any spoilers may be discussed in any post properly marked as such; discussion will not be limited to only the spoilers specifically mentioned in the body of the post.

Please don’t discuss or hint at spoilers in any posts that are not specifically labeled as spoiler posts. Not everyone is spoiled, so be respectful of your fellow comm members. Sometimes we think something is common knowledge, but it isn't, so always err on the side of caution. Everything is considered a spoiler until the show has aired in eastern time (1 to 2 p.m.). We also ask that you don't use a mood icon when posting spoilers, as that in itself can be spoilery.

Note: Casting is not considered a spoiler, so the fact that an actor/character is coming to or leaving Salem is fair game. So, "Marlena is returning to Salem!" is cool. "Marlena is returning to Salem because she's possessed by the devil again!" is not.

Your fellow members thank you in advance for not spoiling them! :)

Please do be sure to NOT mention any spoilers (other than casting) in any live watch post or episode post, or in any other post that does not have the spoiler tag. And if you do see a spoiler mentioned somewhere it doesn't belong, please bring it to the attention of one of your mods so that we can remove it.

Thank you!
