It's actually not retcon, I don't think. I believe it was never *explicit* but that viewers suspected Will was the shooter. This was when he was shipped off to Switzerland for a few years. The actor who played Will back then was 16, but if they were going by actual calendar years Will was 12. I'm guessing they split the difference and he was 14 or so. Definitely old enough to know what he was doing, and he basically admitted that he did. I don't think EJ has proof, but he knows he's right, and Will is not a great liar.
I didn't think he meant Will's sexuality by "disposition". I think he meant being soft and generally (aside from the shooting) not a criminal. Not a hardened one, at least. It's ambivalent; it's *possible* he meant Will being gay, but it could go either way. Since prison is an all-you-can-eat buffet as far as the mansex goes, so I lean towards EJ meaning Will's just not suited for prison because he's a delicate flower.
But if he did mean gay, Will wouldn't ask what he meant by that because he can't even say the word out loud (as evidenced by his convo with Justin). He would certainly not want to actually have EJ say that he thinks Will's gay. So it makes sense to me either way that Will didn't question what EJ meant.
No, I don't think Jai will be back. He was very enjoyable, though!
I love that Sonny knows, and that now Justin is likely wise, too. Can't wait to see more!
