SO AWESOME. This whole episode.

And Will, bless him, getting all flustered and blushy when Mateo showed up. Just. ♥

Come on out, lovely Will. SONNY LEGIT KNOWS. SONNY'S DAD LEGIT KNOWS. YOU'RE AMONG FRIENDS.

And then I get more of my Will/EJ tomorrow?

IT'S A GREAT FREAKING DAY.

HOLY SHIT. This is the closest they've gotten to going there/saying it out loud. So awesome. Great chemistry between all three of them. I hope Mateo comes back. Jai hasn't mentioned being back, has he?

So, question re: the EJ thing. Two, actually. First, clearly Will shooting him is a retcon thing, right? What irritates me about this is that Will just takes EJ at his word. I mean, it does seem to be true, since Will isn't denying it, but EJ has not mentioned having any proof. How old was Will when EJ was shot? I have a hard time believing that anyone would *believe* that Will did it, unless EJ has proof (which seems unlikely). Can anyone wank this for me, so I can let it go?

Second, when EJ dropped that awful comment about prison not being a nice place for people of Will's "disposition," am I right that Will didn't ask what EJ meant by that? I would think he would be all, "WTF is THAT supposed to mean?" Instead that comment just hung out there like Will's sexuality was an understood thing, which it isn't.

I'm expecting too much, aren't I? Sigh.

I don't think that EJ has any proof whatsoever. He just said that he ~*knows*~ Will shot him. Then he pointed out that a trial would be a terrible experience for Will and his family. When Will said, "No one would believe you!" EJ just laid down that line about prison being not so fun. (Will was about to respond to that, but EJ cut him off.)

So, yeah. It would just be EJ's word against Will's, unless EJ had a secret videotape or something, which certainly could happen on DAYS. :/

It's actually not retcon, I don't think. I believe it was never *explicit* but that viewers suspected Will was the shooter. This was when he was shipped off to Switzerland for a few years. The actor who played Will back then was 16, but if they were going by actual calendar years Will was 12. I'm guessing they split the difference and he was 14 or so. Definitely old enough to know what he was doing, and he basically admitted that he did. I don't think EJ has proof, but he knows he's right, and Will is not a great liar.

I didn't think he meant Will's sexuality by "disposition". I think he meant being soft and generally (aside from the shooting) not a criminal. Not a hardened one, at least. It's ambivalent; it's *possible* he meant Will being gay, but it could go either way. Since prison is an all-you-can-eat buffet as far as the mansex goes, so I lean towards EJ meaning Will's just not suited for prison because he's a delicate flower.

But if he did mean gay, Will wouldn't ask what he meant by that because he can't even say the word out loud (as evidenced by his convo with Justin). He would certainly not want to actually have EJ say that he thinks Will's gay. So it makes sense to me either way that Will didn't question what EJ meant.

No, I don't think Jai will be back. He was very enjoyable, though!

I love that Sonny knows, and that now Justin is likely wise, too. Can't wait to see more!

I'm a little sad that I knew that Will was eventually going to come out. If I didn't, I think that scene with Sonny with "he's just not there yet" would have been our confirmation and it would have been an even bigger freakout moment.

As it was, I really liked the Will/Sonny/Mateo scenes. They were handled really well and it gave Freddie Smith a very delicate moment to play, and he was wonderful. And Will/Justin was wonderful too. Although I was hoping that Justin would have added that even if someone's parents are not supportive, there are others who will be.
