Preview for Thursday, 8-4

Thursday, 8-4: Sonny plans to get a summer job with the DA.

Friday, 8-5: Chad and Sonny sense trouble brewing between their families.

So... Sonny plans to get a job with Chad's stepfather? And we -do- get some Chad+Sonny scenes, nice.

Also, Sonny has been talking about that baseball game for three weeks. Is he ever going to actually go?

It is crazy. It seems like everyone is somehow related to everyone else somehow, if not by blood than by marriage.

Abby's the only one I can think of off the top of my head; she's related to Will on her mother's side and Sonny on her father's side.

They've got a lot of relatives in common.

Abigail is Will's cousin and Sonny's cousin.

Will's Uncle Philip is Sonny's cousin.

Brady is Sonny's cousin and Will's mother's step-brother.

Sonny also has another cousin, Stephanie, who is Will's mother's cousin.

I think there may even be more connections than that, but I think that's enough! It's kind of amazing that they could be almost-related in so many different ways, but not actually related to each other!

Yes, Lucas is Will's father. I think the story is that he's living in Hong Kong or something like that. I know they do mention him from time to time. He was back in Salem last year for Alice's funeral, and Sami sent Ali (their daughter) to go live with him for a while recently, and Jennifer has mentioned talking to him on the phone. I'd love for him to come back, but there's been no mention of him returning in any of the spoilers.

Huh. Interesting. This is how long it's been since I watched. Last I recall, Lucas had the hots for Carrie, and Sami had the hots for Austin, so they got together to cook up some scheme to tear them apart. I don't think I ever watched any of their happily married stuff, or when they had Will. He was kind of a douche IIRC.

Lucas was originally Roberts, and so was Will, but at some point in time Lucas had a serious falling-out with his mother and decided to take his father's (Bill Horton) last name to get some distance from her. When he did that, they changed Will's name to Horton, too.

Okay, yeah, that's another good one.... plus, not only is Bo Will's uncle, but Bo's wife Hope is also Will's cousin.

And because of the Bo connection, I guess we can add in Bo's kids as being cousins to both Will and Sonny, too!

OMG I totally accidentally read this incest fic the other week. So wrong yet totally hot.

Yes, Jacks is much better than Sonny, but it reminds me of Jax from Sons of Anarchy and Sonny is too sweet to remind me of a murderous drug-running biker even if he is totally hot.

The name doesn't really bother me. The slooooooowness of this storyline moving forward bothers me more. BE GAY ALREADY, WILL.

I haven't seen today's ep yet. I have to wait for the YouTube clip to go up. I agree that they're laying good groundwork, I'm just an impatient person, so I want them to be making out already!

My fave thing about Luke/Reid (well, one of them) was that it was just two guys who liked each other, well, hated each other at first, but there was no "OMG COMING OUT ANGST!!!" storyline, which I feel I have already seen one million times, you know?

I don't mind the slowness so much for now, as long as I can tell myself that it means that the old, crappy writers who are already out the door won't have too much of a chance to fuck it all up. I just hope the story moves forward a little more quickly once the new writers scripts start to kick in.
