July 7, 2011: Sonny makes a cameo

Just a short one today. No Will, but Sonny does wear a cut-off t-shirt! He's nice to Chloe (she of way too much eye makeup) and, along with his dad, tries to help her with the problems that none of us care about because she's leaving the show anyway.

I'm sorry - I couldn't care less about Chloe and her baby drama (feels heartless). I was too busy being distracted by Sonny and his arms. Hnnngh.

I approve of that shirt. Can he wear that shirt and can Will wear his apron the next time they have a scene together? :D

Sonny's arms are totally the stars of this episode! Eh, Chloe's leaving and I don't know her, so I definitely don't care about her baby drama.

I have pretty much no sympathy for Chloe with all her baby drama crap. I mean, I get that she was depressed and all and was trying to kill herself, but the fact that she could do that and have so little concern for her son that she left him sitting in his stroller out on the pier in the freezing cold weather is just all kinds of NOT okay. And even after social services gave Philip full custody of Parker, Philip was doing everything he could to try to help her. He let her move into the house with him and his father (Victor, which you just know Victor loved!) so that she could still be with the baby even though the court had basically stripped her of her parental rights.

But she just kept screwing up. Then, like a completely moron, she got drunk and told Philip's mother (Kate) that she was going to take the baby and go away somewhere where nobody could find them, and that was the last straw for Philip. He took Parker and left Salem (and the show) and moved to Chicago. Now Chloe can't see Parker outside of supervised visits, and IMO she's lucky that she even gets that. I just basically feel like, boo fucking hoo, Chloe, you made your bed and now you have to lie in it.

The only part about the fact that she's leaving that doesn't make me happy is that they'll make the story that Philip is going to let her come live with him and the baby, and IMO she totally doesn't deserve it! But for the most part, I will be glad to see the last of her.

Out of all the people I've read that are going to be leaving soon, the only one I'm even the littlest bit sad about is Carly. And even that's more because she's Jennifer's best friend than because I have any great love for Carly herself.

Huh. Had no idea Chloe's been doing so much screwing up as of late (I did know that she cheated on Doctor Daniel with Phillip). Ghoul Girl really sucks as a mom.

Even if they didn't have a lot for Sonny to do right now, at least they were willing to thrown him in there for a little scene to remind us he's in town. That's something.

Yeah, I like how they're weaving him in naturally. It's surprisingly patient and I think it's a good sign!

How old is Sonny supposed to be? I didn't get to watch today, but I was reading in some comments about maybe the writers are trying to do a fake Sonny/Chloe thing or something? I'm not sure. I just scanned so I could be totally wrong. I just thought Chloe would be (a lot) older than Sonny. IDK.

Oh, I think when Sonny was complimenting Chloe when they met and she said "If only they were all like you!" it was just a bit of misdirection. I think that's all.

Sonny's graduated college and travelled, so at least 22, I think.
