I love Will more and more each day. I also have to say, I was a huge Days fan back in the late 90's when I was in HS...I have to admit, I'm kind of loving being back. I totally squeed when Lucas came on the screen. Ahh...good times.

I didn't watch Days in the mid to late 90s, but I remember seeing Lucas on the cover of SOD a lot and having a big ol' crush on him. :)

So seeing him actually on-screen? I HAD FEELINGS.

What struck me most about this episode is how calm Will is with his mom. There is no screaming and no name calling. He got a few good zingers in but mostly he was resigned to the fact that his mom is a lost cause in the parenting department. Sami didn't know how to react to him like that.

PURE SPECULATION on my part, but I'm going to predict that creepy Ian is going to be Will's bio grandpa. If his maternal grandfather has ever been mentioned, Days will think nothing of changing that history.

This was an excellent epi to watch in clip form only. The rest of the show was incredibly boring.

We supposedly know both of Will's grandfathers -- Roman Brady is Sami's father, and Bill Horton (Jennifer's father) is supposed to be Lucas's father. I say "supposed to be", because it's one of those things where Kate never told Bill about Lucas until Lucas was in his late teens, and as far as I know there was never a blood test or anything, just Kate's word. So it wouldn't technically be inconsistent with canon for them to now say that, whoops, we were wrong, and Bill wasn't ever really Lucas's father. But I will still be SO MAJORLY PISSED OFF if it happens! Lucas and Will and HORTONS! I don't want them to mess with that!!!

Not to say you're wrong. I won't surprised if that is where they're going, but I will be VERY UNHAPPY about it!

I really liked that moment where Sami pivoted and focused back on herself, and Chandler reacted. For just a few minutes, he felt like his mom was there for him, and then she wasn't. I can't feel too sorry for Sami. She is not willing to really admit her behavior or do anything serious to change it. W

I feel bad for Sami. But I can't really blame Will. Even if Sami accepts Will after he comes out, she'll be a drama llama about it.

I do feel bad for Sami. She really means well, but she’s so clueless. They really have kept her in character over the years! She always defaults to selfishness even when she tries not to. I really hope she surprises everyone and takes Will’s coming out well.

I can't feel too bad for Sami because she is not willing to look at her behavior or do anything serious to change. Unfortunately, Will is correct in knowing that he can't depend on her.

also can anyone help me with an off topic question. i don't always watch the entire show, but i wanted to know what's going on with Jack/Jennifer. i saw Jen with Daniel saying something about her not being together with Jack. so did the show decide to not reunite them? :(

That is just Jen acting like a manipulator. It's happened before though she is nowhere near Kate or Sami level.

If the timeline doesn't change than he can't be Lucus' father. They've made Ian and Kate's relationship out to be during his marraige to Madison. That doesn't mean they wont change it to suit thier needs. It's certainly been done before on Days. A bit off topic but, I hope Madison get's the boot. Would love to see more Eric Mortsalf eye candy without that clingy shrew.
