Sonny’s Confession!

When Justin and Adrienne inform Sonny that Victor is peeved about not seeing him, the young man visits his uncle and breaks the news that he’s gay. “I think Sonny is interested in how Victor is going to react,” shares Freddie Smith. “His parents are uneasy because they don’t know how Victor will respond. But Sonny is very comfortable. He’ll tell anyone.”

Victor shares his honest opinion. “Victor is concerned how other people are going to react because there is a lot of bashing in the world,” Smith explains. “Sony says, ‘I understand.’ He just wants his friends and family to accept him for who he is.” The actor adds that Sonny never had any worry that Victor would reject him. “Sonny and his uncle go way back,” notes Smith. “They’re very close. They can always tell each other how it is. THey’re always joking with each other.” Smith teases, “At some point, there will be conflict in Sonny’s story. But for the most part, everyone is very accepting and cool with it.”
