I've heard storylines are glacial on Days, and the new producers said they added more storyline to make it more realistic. They still have to establish Sonny as a character, have his "coming out" to the town, make Will realize he's gay and have him deal with that (hopefully he won't go through major denial and stay with his girlfriend), and then have them get together. Probably really slowly.

It took three months between introducing Reid and his first kiss with Luke. I'm thinking Days might be around that, probably a month more because of the coming out.

Oh gosh, everyone has a well-thought out rationale behind their answer. I picked September because it felt right. Don't soaps have sweeps? I pick sweeps month.

They do have sweeps, although they're the same as the regular network sweeps, so November, February and May. So if it's one of those months, please lord, November!!

PREPARING MYSELF FOR THE WORST.

After October. WAY after. Like, July of next year. It will probably take two months for them to finally have a conversation alone together. Then they'll make Will be like, "O HAAAY! WAIT I'M NOT GAY" for about five months. There will be lots of sexual tension, but nothing will happen. Then Will might confess to some neutral person that hey, he likes a guy. Then his girlfriend will find out, and he'll be all upset and will go right back into the closet again, and will distance himself from Sonny. Some more BS will drag on for a few more months, with Will slowly thawing, until they finally kiss. Which of course will result in more, "I'M NOT GAY" angst. Then the show will be canceled.

I'm still gonna watch (obsessively), of course, and hope that I'm wrong. But I'm horribly familiar with how DAYS handles their epic romances. It is not good. Hopefully things have changed since I last followed the show. /bitter

As much as I would love for them to kiss sometime in the next couple of months, I'm really not holding out very much hope that it will happen that soon. I mean, seriously, so far they've shared a grand total 85 seconds of screen time. I figure it will take at least three months, and possibly longer considering the fact that Will hasn't even admitted to himself yet that he's gay.

I'm going against the grain and hoping they actually take their time with this. I'm tired of seeing insta-couples in soaps that no one cares about because they got together within about two weeks (Katie/Chris on ATWT anyone?) and the writers obviously have put no emotional investment in them. This couple? I'm hoping that this won't just be the next shiny thing for a daytime show to show off and actually put some thought into it. I can say that since the show is getting new writers and I can hold out hope that writing will improve.

I picked a college kick-off for September. We know that Sonny has been travelling etc... but how old is he supposed to be and will he have a job? If none of this has been answered yet then I would love to have them make Sonny @ 22 and maybe a graduate student advisor at the uni-cue "unethical and inappropriate" aka "the Mona Cross syndrome"
