Y'all, I am crushing on Freddie Smith big time! He is so freaking cute! Not only good looking, obviously, but well spoken and intelligent. Love him!

I looked for his 90210 scenes on YouTube, but they seem to have been yanked down for copyright, so I'm going to download his episodes and upload them in a locked post. I'll try to do it tonight, as I'm going away for a long weekend, but otherwise it'll be next week. Trevor Donovan is leaving the show after five eps in the fall, but Freddie might appear again as part of Teddy's exit arc.

In the meantime, here are a few interviews he did this spring where he talks about kissing another guy, etc. He makes a comment in the first interview about how he'd only been on 90210 for two minutes yet people were responding. Heh, how long has he been on Days now? About 11 minutes? He wins people over fast! :D

This is how it starts! Get all wrapped up in the pretty.

I like his thoughts v. much on kissing another boy. The more I stare at him, the more I'm reminded slightly of Matt Doyle. Oh, another thing I notice about this man? He can act! Surprise! It feels very natural. anthonydlangford was commenting yesterday about what Sonny said to his parents and criticizing it and I'm like, "I BELIEVE EVERYTHING HE SAID." He made me believe everything he said. Natural.

Love that they're involved with the NO H8 campaign! Shows they're both very open-minded and it's always great to have those kind of actors involved in a GLBT line. I know they'll be respectful to it and hopefully the Days writers do them a service and make it a good, solid line. Excitement!

Ditto! He really seems genuinely cool with it, and obviously he is since he's taken two gay roles.

He does remind me a bit of Matt! Just a hair, but it's there.

He made me believe everything he said. Natural.

I find him really natural and believable too! Chandler as well. Soap dialogue can be hit and miss (understatement of the millennium) but so far I really believe both of them. I'm thrilled by the casting.

What a delightful young, new actor. Very personable and friendly and seemingly genuine. However, like Van before him, I am currently crushing more on Chandler than Freddie based purely on looks (why yes, I do have a thing for blonde boys...why do you ask?). Of course, I do reserve the right to change my mind later.

So great that he obviously has a heart for the gay community. Not only doing the NOH8 campaign, but actually seeking it out and using his new found fame as an opportunity to take part. I'll bet, living in California, Prop 8 affected quite a few people he knows.

i remember watching Freddie's interview before he showed up on 90210 as well as reading his interview on afterelton. he really comes off very well. i'm happy he got the role on Days...especially since 90210 didn't use him much at all (didn't they like cut scenes, i thought we were supposed to meet Marco's parents).

and yes, he is VERY easy on the eyes...

It's funny how much more of an impression he's made on me on Days vs. 90210. I mean, I enjoyed him on that show, but maybe it's because Teddy is 35 and not attractive to me that I wasn't losing my mind over them or anything. But watching his interviews is increasing my crush exponentially!
