The week begins with Will and his two business partners, Chad and Sonny, shutting down their Web site. Later, Will has a hard time carrying the secret that he saw EJ and Sami having sex. He visits Marlena, who immediately senses that her grandson is troubled. "Marlena and Will have a special relationship," Chandler Massey points out. "She's probably the most important person in Will's life. Marlena is the only person who gives love to him selflessly without asking for anything in return."
Marlena probes Will about what's on his mind. He starts to tell her, but ultimately decides against it. "As much as Will wants to confide in Marlena because he trusts her, he doesn't want to burden her," says the actor. "He knows that if Marlena learns the truth about Sami, it will weigh on her." Instead, Will claims that he's uneasy about his romance with Gabi.
At the loft, Sami is concerned with Will's cold behavior. She questions her son, but the two get nowhere. Sami worries that her secret has been exposed, not realizing it has. Later, Will meets Gabi and makes a surprising offer. "Will asks Gabi to get an apartment with him," Massey previews. "He doesn't like having to see his mother every day, keeping quiet about this terrible betrayal that she committed. Gabi has also expressed concern because Will hasn't been having sex with her, so Will sees this as killing two birds with one stone."
Gabi is surprised by Will's sudden shift in attitude, but then warms to the idea, pleased about Will's revived interest in her. When Gabi gets affectionate with Will, however, he abruptly pushes her away.
The next night, the teens get together at Maggie's house. Will, Chad, and Sonny prepare dinner for Gabi, Abigail and Melanie. Will takes Gabi aside and asks her if she has given further thought to moving in with him. Gabi wonders why Will is so eager to get an apartment and suggests he's more interested in getting away from his mother than being with her. Gabi also points out that there is something missing in their relationship. "Gabi hints that Will may have some issues that he's in denial about and that's the last straw for Will," reveals Massey. "He snaps."
Without warning, an outraged Will begins trashing Maggie's apartment.
