will_sonny | Sonny needs some lovin'!!!

Hi all,

This is my first time posting, although I’ve been following this community for a little while now. By the way, I'm new to posting on LiveJournal, so I hope I'm doing all this right. I'm just starting to learn, so if I'm doing something wrong, please let me know. Anyway, I'm here because I’m totally on Team WilSon, and I'm happy that things seem to indicate that they will indeed be paired up. But on the off chance that Sonny ends up with someone else, I'll still be happy seeing a romantic and entertaining gay love story as long as it is written well and told honestly. Now, like many here, I've been let down by gay storylines in the past, so I'm really hoping DOOL gets it right. I'm hoping they will not only please the fans of gay love stories, but also make a positive impact on both gay and straight viewers.

Anyway, like some, I too have noticed some negative comments posted about the upcoming storyline. I'm not sure if these comments are reaching TPTB, but either way, it can’t hurt to counter that with lots of positive comments and support. I personally like to remind TPTB that there are lots of us that fully support a gay storyline, and hopefully they will be more inclined to stick with it. I also like to let them know what I want to see.

So on that note, I designed a postcard to let TPTB know that we want Sonny to find love! As soon as I verify the correct contacts and addresses for TPTB at the show, I plan to send some to them this week, as well as to the soap magazines. I just thought I would post this here (and in a couple of other places) in case anyone else feels like sending some of these out too. Or, maybe folks will be inspired to send some of their own postcards. Either way, the more positive feedback they get, the better!
