I'm very happy about the first spoiler for next week!!!
I'm less thrilled about the last spoiler for next week and not at all thrilled about the Will/Gabi spoiler for the following week, but I can't say I'm surprised. I had been hoping they wouldn't go there, but I guess Will eventually coming out wouldn't be quite as dramatic if he hadn't already slept with Gabi.

When I first read it I didn't like that Will was going to sleep with Gabi, but the more I think about it, if they do it right, this will give the writers the chance to make Will's angst over being gay (because there HAS to be angst -- it's a soap opera!) over "I can't be gay because I don't want to break Gabi's heart" rather than the typical "I can't be gay because I JUST CAN'T BE GAY!"

Okay, I seriously love this spoiler! I love that Sonny is getting involved in Kiriakis family business.
From the way it's phrased, it sounds like they're saying Chad and Sonny are working together, but I wonder if that's how it will play out. I'd expect it to be more like Chad is looking for E.J. and Sonny is looking for Brady, but I'll be very happy if I'm wrong about that!

But either way I think it's a good thing, personally. This way there won't be any what ifs for Will -- he'll have all the information, as it were. :)

Date: 2011-07-29 09:04 pm (UTC)I just hope they're not as slow now as they were 20+ years ago -- I recently found a site with a whole bunch of clips encompassing almost the entire Jack & Jennifer story going back to 1989. I've started watching a lot of them, and I've read through the summaries of a lot of the clips I haven't gotten to yet. Jennifer first went to work for Jack in February 1989. They shared their first real kiss the following January. I don't want to have to wait 11 months to see Will and Sonny kiss!!!!

Around the time Gabi was in the hospital (during their fake-prom in said hospital), Will made a comment about never wanting to hurt her, so I think that'll come into play for sure.

Will will feel the need to stay with Gabi for the sake of the baby thereby ending anything with Sonny. Sonny and Will will give into temptation and Gabi will see Winny kissing and lose the baby. Will will once again "dump" Sonny because he feels responsible for Gabi's situation.
So I think that should take us up to Christmas, just in time for a reunion kiss under the mistletoe!

Date: 2011-08-01 07:25 pm (UTC)I had to laugh at this. because I've been rewatching a lot of old, old, old (1989-1990) clips of Jack & Jennifer. I just last night watched the clip of their first time together, and they did use birth control, but the fact that it was even possible for them was just about the stupidest thing ever. Jennifer had been preparing for her first time with Jack, and for whatever reason she must have decided disease wasn't an issue and she went to an OB/GYN and got herself a diaphragm. They go on a cruise together, get shipwrecked, and when they're alone in a cave on an island and things start to get romantic, it turns out that pretty much the one thing Jennifer managed to salvage when the ship was going down was her diaphragm!
I've always loved Jack & Jennifer. I am deliriously excited about the fact that Jack is coming back soon, but watching that clip, I remembered back to when that scene first aired -- no matter how happy I was that they'd FINALLY slept together (after over a year of dancing around each other!), I still kind of marvel over how incredibly stupid that was!
