They definitely seem to be going the "Will doesn't yet realize he's gay" route, but I think it's interesting that he's apparently so concerned that things weren't perfect for Gabi. I wonder if that comes at least partially from the fact that it wasn't perfect for him, but he can't quite put his finger on the reason why?

I can't help but feel like this is all part of the "Will comes out" plot line.

I was just saying someplace else that it feels kind of like Noah on ATWT, before he realized he was gay. Of course, Noah was a douche even then, and Will seems to be really sweet, but just in terms of the idea that he might sleep with Gabi, and maybe even enjoy it, and not really realize that something was "missing" until he starts to realize he's attracted to Sonny.

I can't help but feel like this is all part of the "Will comes out" plot line. Like, they've known for a while that it was going that way, right? This part with Gabi wasn't written or decided upon prior to their decision that Will's going to be gay? So I feel like this entire thing is still a plot device for Will discovering he's gay/coming out/whatever.

Oh yeah, totally. I think they're just playing their cards really close to the vest for those viewers who aren't spoiled. I definitely think this is all part of Will's coming out. It's gonna be a slow process!

Can't say I'm looking forward to it, but as long as it makes Will realise he is of the gay, it's all good!
